Clean Living

We sure are lucky to have so much help keeping this big ole house clean!
"Daddy, You missed a spot"

"Here, I'll show you how it's done"

"Boy, they make these handles long enough for GIANTS"

"How do you know which one of these takes marker off the table?"

"At least they let me drink on the job!"

An Early Christmas Gift

Thanks Grammie Kerschen for the matching Christmas PJ's!  Lillian thinks it's so cool that she and Jak match.  Let the countdown begin... Christmas is one month from today and Lillian is really catching on to what the season has to offer!

A Cousin-Filled Weekend!

Our weekend began with a Friday Night sleepover.  Uncle Roberts brothers, Andrew & Patrick were in town.  Rather than Casey & Keira loosing sleep listening to the boys party till the wee hours of the morning and rather than Casey worrying that Keira waking overnight would disturb the boys; Casey packed a few things and headed to the Colorado Kerschens house for a slumber party!  Lillian loved having Keira over and all 3 kids ate & slept pretty darn good.
The next morning we met Holden & Everett at Apex to play.  Jak showed off his new skill, walking all over the playground - hands stretched way out front like Frankenstein!
Then, Sunday evening, Casey & I brought our three kiddos downtown to the Convention Center to see Elmo & his Sesame Street Pals.  Casey & I have been looking forward to this for weeks!  Despite Jak throwing up all over himself, his car seat and the back of my car....we had a terrific time!  I'm not sure what set Jak off - he didn't seem sick all morning and seemed fine right after, but I don't ever want to clean up that much puke again!  Thank goodness I had packed his pajama's!
When the lights went down and the "Sunny Days, Sweeping the Clouds Away" began, Casey & I teared up!  It was a great nostalgic moment for Casey and I to remember our Sesame Street Days and a great moment to be sharing the love with our kids.
They had a GREAT time!

The Days of our Lives....

Lillian is experimenting with her amateur photography skills....and I mean amateur!  Thank God for digital camera's, we've erased 100's just like this...

I was ready for "Take 2" but Jak wasn't prepared

She's got a thing or two to learn about camera angles...but her heart is in it!

Catching Up With Friends

We finally decided we can't wait to have our friends over any longer!  Our new house may not be in the shape we want it, but our friends don't mind seeing it as a "work in progress".  And I miss hosting people!  We had Zane & Sarah over twice before they moved to Florida.  Last weekend we had Stu & Allison, Bryan & Amy, Casey & Rob and their munchkins over.  It was great to meet the Bergner's new baby girl, Caroline!  And great to catch up with everyone, but I was so busy socializing that I forgot to take any pictures!  Guess we'll have to do it again soon!  Finally, yesterday, we had Darren, Erica and "East Side Lily" over for dinner.  The Wrights brought such yummy snacks and appetizers we almost didn't have room for supper!
The Lilys scarfing down fruit and cheese!

Smiling, happy faces as we stuff our selves with dessert and listen to Lakewood High Schools Katie Perry Video on You Tube....good time!
This morning we had a play date at a park in the old neighborhood with Jen & Lola and Katie & Kellan.  The kids hadn't seen each other in so long, it took a couple minutes for them to get comfortable again....but only a couple minutes!
Lola, Lillian and Kellan cooking up something good!

Jak exploring his world now that he's vertical most of the time!

All four kiddos in one shot!

Just like old times...

A relaxing fall day at the park.

Fall Family Photos

We had Family Photos taken at the neighborhood lake last month.  Mom and Dad happened to be in town that weekend so we took a few grandparent photos too.  But the pictures of Lillian and Keira may win out as the cutest.  Those girls nose to nose would melt any heart!

Halloween at the Pond

Zach & Lacey hosted the neighborhood Family Co-Op for a pizza party before we let em' run loose around the neighborhood.
It was a great idea, except Lillian was too entertained by the arts and crafts and excitement to eat any pizza!

Jak, on the other hand, ate every bite I handed down to him as he explored the house like a true tiger!

Daddy and Jak came out to see Lillian and I off.  But the men stayed home to hand out candy while Lil and I ran door to door with Megan, Vince, Eva and Angelo from next door.  Those Cabral kids sure took good care of Lillian.  They taught her how to trick or treat, helped her run from house to house and let her ring the doorbell at most places.  By the 8th house, Lil started coughing and said, "I'm all done Mommy."  It was a cold and windy night!  When we got back home, Lillian ran to the front door every time it rang.  She went outside on our front porch, with every group of kids and said, "trick or treat Mommy"....Most of her candy came from us!
