Alway's fun to be with Erica and East Side Lily

 Happy 2nd Birthday Addie!

Kind of hard to get a picture of our squirmy worms these days!
And it's even harder to get a picture without them!

Pool Time

The kids have been loving their bike rides to the pool lately.  Truly, they love riding their bikes anywhere they can!  Lillian was giving me her "Come on Mom" face in this picture because she didn't want to take a picture.  Smiling for a split second sure can be hard on a five year old.
Uncle Ian and I timed this shot just right.  He wanted me to use it for my cell phone, so that every time he called it popped up.  I loved the idea, until I took this fun picture!
Sorry Ian....Hello Kitty always wins!

The fact that his sister isn't up for smiling lately, doesn't stop this kid from being a ham.  He is one cool dude.

Fundraising for Alzheimer's has Never been so fun!

I had the most beautiful guests attend my work BBQ lunch for Alzheimer's today!
Nothing sweeter than a newborn baby.
We did raise $700 for the Memory Walk despite the distraction.

Camping!

We had a great time camping with Grammy & Opa - but somehow I didn't take enough pictures!
Mike and I gave up our comfy bed in the camper and slept in a tent on cots.  We were worried it would be a loud uncomfortable night of sleep, but thanks to Mike's ear plugs he packed we slept great!

Jak loved these tall wild grasses all around our campground. He nicknamed them "Dum da dum dums"
It is always nice to get out of town and appreciate the simple things in life.
Lillian captured this cuddle moment!

Summer Fun...

Mom and Dad are sticking around for a while, to help watch Keira while Casey & Rob are still at the hospital with Natalie and to enjoy a little summer fun with the grandkids.  Here's a glimpse at what we've been doing.
Ooooo back massages!

A nice relaxing Adult Pool Trip - a treat to be there without a slippery kid hanging on you!  Every summer Fiona and I plan a resident pool outing.  They love it!  Only a handful get in the water, but they really enjoying sitting poolside.
Concerts in McIlvoy Park (next to Lillian's New School)
 Story Time & Snuggles
 And fancy picnic table dinners
Lillian and Holden set the picnic table up this way and wanted to have a private dinner.  Jak obviously didn't want to be left out!

The little boy who owns this Doggy Raft was unable to balance on the back.  Everytime he got on the raft would flip over and he would be dunked under water.  But Jak jumped right on and rode that puppy like a champ.  Is bull riding in his future?
Lillian practiced a couple of times with Daddy and picked up bike riding like a champ!
Now Daddy gets to "workout" helping Jak learn....poor Mike, it looks like a lot of work running up and down the cul-de-sac.

The 1100 miles Grammy & Opa drove to get out to Colorado took their toll on Opa's car.  Good thing he has a helper to wash off the dust.

The kids are starting to ask me to set up craft projects for them.  Our art wall is looking good!

Grammy and Lillian "Fishing" for the alphabet, a game Grammy brought for Jak, but it looks like it will be fun for the whole family.
Looking at the trees through a telescope offers a whole new perspective!

Some back seat love between toddlers!
Watching the Stapleton children's production of "The Wizard of Oz".

She's Here!!!!!

Meet Baby Natalie Ann Burns.

She has so much love in her little world already.  A proud big sister.
 Proud Grandparents.
And Four REALLY proud Colorado Cousins!!!!

These cousins had a really great time eating popsicles in the hospital cafeteria in celebration of Natalie's birth!
This shot is a little blurry, but I always want to remember what the four of them looked like the day Natalie came into the world.

Holden Lights Up the Stage!

It was a pretty big thrill for Lillian and Jak to see their big cousin on stage.  Holden was a Widget in "The Reluctant Dragon" at the Arvada Center.  She's been studying and practicing her lines for the last 4 weeks - a crash study course in theater!

The girls couldn't miss an opportunity to dress up and go to the theater for the night!

Holden was terrific, in fact if she takes the same Theater Camp again next summer, the instructor said she'd be certain to give Holden more lines in the play, now that she sees how capable she is!

This active time bomb had more fun hamming it up in the aisles than anything.  It is a super BIG challenge to get him to sit still these days!
