Day 1 of Spring Break

Unfortunately, Jak & Lillian have Spring Break at different times this year.  This week is all about keeping Jak happy & occupied and next week will be Lillian's turn.  Fortunately, Lillian has Good Friday off, and we're pulling Jak out of school next Monday, so that we can squeeze in a little time to "get away" to the mountains and ski together!  But today.....I twiddled my thumbs at the Nature & Science Museum all day, while Joseph & Marcus acted like I wasn't even there.  These wild boys were in their own world all day...but they had fun!

Tired Skiers...

I guess we can actually wear them out....

A Birthday Party For Joseph

One of the hardest things about sending Jak to Kindergarten at Weber this year, is trying NOT to make friends.  I want him to take this year to mature and have fun, but I don't want him to make too many close connections since he won't be going to Weber next year.  Joseph had a great time at Evan's birthday party and didn't want to come home when I went back to pick him up.

Easter Egg Hunting with Cousins!

The kids had a great time Easter Egg hunting together this morning at one of the most organized egg hunts I've ever seen. They had 3 separate egg hunts divided by age.  Poor Casey stayed with the younger 3 and I got to escort Lillian to the older kids area, which was much calmer.   We opted to skip Natalie's age group and let her hunt with the wild and crazy 5 year olds, since we didn't have enough adults to escort all our kids! It worked out in the end....the kids made out like bandits.  We came home with tons of candy and 4 passes to Jump City!

Good Ol' Fashion Fun!

We always find time to dye Easter eggs! They sure love to dye them....perhaps this year they'll learn to eat hard boiled eggs?!?

Ramen...who knew?

On a whim, I decided to spruce up some cheap ramen noodle packets.  I added chopped chicken, carrots and corn (and green onions and chili peppers to me and Mike's bowls!).  The kids went "gaga" for this dinner, seriously, their reaction was comical!

St. Patrick's Day

The kids woke up snuggly this morning....
But quickly rallied and found their inner Irish Spirit! We met Casey and the girls in Stapleton and took the train into the city.  We were sure the parade would be crazy since it fell on the actual holiday this year (and because I'm still suffering from the Stock Show Parade in January!).  But to our surprise the St. Patrick's Day Parade was awesome and not too crowded. We lucked out and found a front row spot, but should have searched harder for a spot on the sunny side of the street!  Grammy & Opa came down to meet us and we stopped in to see Daddy at work later that afternoon!

Taking Candlelit Dinner to a Whole New Level!

Sometimes when the kids get a wild idea....you just go with it and it turns out to be cuter than words can express!

Season Pass Holders

These 2 worked so hard this ski season and earned a season pass to Loveland for completing 3 ski lessons.  They skied solo today for the first time, getting on and off the lift by themselves and skiing through the "Rainbow Forest".  Too bad the season is ending in a few weeks!

Keira's 5th Birthday!

Happy Birthday Sweet Keira!

Rollerbladin'

We got a little taste of Spring today and had a great playdate with Brenna at the Fire Fighter Park.  These girls can giggle at anything and they really work hard to include Jak.
