Learning and Having Fun at the Zoo!

 Learning about habitats....
Helping make the guinea pigs environment just right.

And scaring the holy he## out of them!

This cute picture post is made from Lego's!
Quite possibly Lillian's last free ride on the carousel.  She's approaching the 42 inch line!

Keira's a panda fan just like her momma was!

Trip of a Lifetime!

Unfortunately, it wasn't our trip! Grammy and Opa have dreamt about visiting Africa for a long, long time.  After a ton of research and planning, it's safe to say all their efforts paid off. Opa said Kenya far exceeded their expectations.

Mike and Cathy climbed Mount Kilimanjaro 9 (almost 10) years ago now.  Mike says that trip was worth every hard earned penny he spent on it.  He's always dreamed of taking me and the kids there.....I hope Simon (Grammy and Opa's tour guide) is still in business and alive when we get our chance!

A Major Home Improvement In Progress!

Bye bye front porch with no clearance for Mike's head (or any other tall visitor)!
Bye bye messy, sandy side yard!

Hello new patio!  Before it was stained and polished.

We absolutely love the outcome...now I must paint that horrible, red front door!
But for now, we'll relax and enjoy a few meals on it before winter comes.

Take MOMMA out to the ballgame!

It took us til summer's end to get to a baseball game this season....but it was worth the wait!
And great to finish a conversation without children interrupting!

Making Memories Every Year at the Memory Walk

We were blessed with another beautiful walk day this year!  Gorgeous weather and a great turnout of coworkers, residents and friends.
We met at the Village and Fiona drove the "party" bus to City Park.

The kids really enjoyed the mascots.  The owner of the Broncos, Pat Bolen was diagnosed with Alzheimer's inspiring a huge turnout of football fans and athletes (and money!)
We crapped out of the "race" early and hit the playground - of course.

This marks the one year anniversary of Jak being diaper free!  During last years Alzheimer's walk, Jak was jealous of Lillian using the port-a-potty.  Who' knew a stinky port-a-potty could inspire a kid to give up diapers!?

The pool may have closed but Summer isn't over!

The Splash Park on Garrison really is a great place.  Especially when the weather's still in the 90's and the pool is closed!

Daddy promised Lillian all summer that he'd fill the hot tub after the pool closed.  So hear they are vacuuming and cleaning it out.  We'll be hot tubbing in a day or two!

"We're Raising Money for Alzheimer's!"

Brought the kids to work today to help with our antique car show and fundraiser for the Memory Walk.  Turned out to be a really fun morning for them.

Lillian ate 5 cotton candies. Jak a mere 3.
Ok - maybe Lillian only had 4 1/2!

I bought $20 worth of raffle tickets.  When they called Lillian's name she chose the tailgate themed Bronco Basket.  It was full of liquor, beer and munchies.  I asked her why she chose that one.  Her response, "Because I wanted the license plate".  She thought the I-tunes gift card was a license plate for her bike.
 She's such a good girl...

Our New Toy

Ta-da!  We upgraded our camper!  And got a heck of a deal from the "repo" man.  Some serious memories are going to be made in here.
We need to move it to a storage lot soon....the kids have made us eat every meal in here this week!

Think the kids like it?
