Ladies Night Out

Aunt Casey scored us free tickets to the Nutcracker through her kids daycare.  She didn't think Natalie could handle the late night out, even Keira and Lillian struggled to stay awake towards the end of the night.  But we had a great evening - bring on the Christmas season - we are in the mood!

Thanksgiving

We had a very relaxed, casual Thanksgiving this year.  We missed Ian, Kim and the kids, they spent Thanksgiving with their friends the Tiptons this year.  But the 4 cousins played well together and the adults played lots and lots of board games while chatting. The weather was nice and we got the kids on their bikes a little bit.  Natalie didn't get to bike, but she sure loved wearing the bike helmet!

CFC Night Out

Mike was invited to attend the Annual Construction Awards ceremony, while CFC wasn't featured this year, we enjoyed an adult night out and dreamed of CFC being featured in the future!

Girl Scout Terrarium's

What a clever activity these Girl Scout's created this evening.  They planted their own terrarium's with tulip bulbs, soil and Fairy Garden figurine's of course!

Lillian's Thanksgiving Program

Lillian made the cutest little Wampanaug Indian I ever saw!  And in typical Lillian fashion, she remembered, recited and clearly projected her lines better than all the other kids.  She really thrives on memorization and never shows an inkling of stage fright!

Gymnastics

There's no better way to "get your wiggles out" than gymnastics at the Apex Center!

As you can imagine, it's hard to get a picture of Jak, he bounces too fast and marches to his own drum beat! But he loves coming here every week!

Casino Night at St. Anne's

We didn't gamble at the annual St. Anne's Auction this year, but we did bid on way too much in the silent and live auctions, came home with lots of schwag and a nice hangover!   Grammy & Opa took the kids for an overnight at their house, the Kelley's hired a stretch limo to pick us at our door (in honor of Aaron's birthday) and we know so many more families, making this years auction a heck of a good time (imagine what it will be like in a few more years!).
Unfortunately, we didn't take enough pictures, and the ones we did take are a little blurry.  Here's what we got....

Nature & Science Museum with Keira

I love their expressive faces as I watch them learn, play and discover how things work.  This museum is out of this world.  (And so are these kids!)

Girls Weekend!

What a treat to travel alone!  Kelli makes the trek from London, back to the "home land" about once every 6 months.  Somehow, her travels to the States always fall during a time when I can't get away to meet her in Maryland.  We haven't seen each other in a couple of years!!!    With Mike's encouragement and my parents gracious child care assistance, I booked a flight for a party of 1 for the first time in a lonnnnggg time.  I missed Mike and the kids more than I can put into words, but flying alone was heavenly!  I didn't have to worry about anyone but myself, and you forget how much a traveling mom has to put her needs on hold.  I solemnly swear to offer a helpful hand or at least an understanding smile to every traveling momma for the rest of my life.
Amanda, Jay and Andrew were the hosts with the most all weekend long, providing most meals and vino (and there was lots of vino being poured!).  We mostly hung out at home and played with Andrew and his 100's of toys!  But we escaped Saturday to enjoy an outdoor, fall festival in Annapolis, thankfully the weather cooperated.
Sunday morning, Amanda drove me to Severin and Colleen's where I got to spend a few hours with my adorable niece, Carolyn and meet their German foreign exchange student, Zoe.  It was a quick weekend, that fed my soul and made me feel so good!  But I was so happy to see Mike and the kids when I touched down in Denver again!

Graceyn's mom sent me this picture of the girls painting pottery after school Friday.
It was so great to see Kelli's girls!

Carolyn wasn't too thrilled about having her picture taken, but she did love showing off her recently redone, big girl room.
She also wasn't to thrilled that I didn't bring Jak and Lil to see her. Thankfully she'll be in Colorado for Christmas this year!
