First Rockies Baseball Game!

Saturday evening summer time games start at 6:10 - so we bought tickets and figured we'd stay for the first 4, 5, or 6 innings.  But the kids surprised us - they had a great time and lasted for the whole game...the whole miserable game (the Rockies lost by a landslide)....that we watched very little of - but still, they had fun til the end!

We met Uncle Rob, Aunt Casey and Keira there - for Uncle Rob's birthday celebration.

And Daddy's friend Kevin and his son Henry joined us as well.

More Neighborhood Fun

How to pass the "Lazy Hazy Days of Summer"?....Bike races, front yard photo shoots on the "big" rock, tracing our bodies with side walk chalk and riding our bikes to the pool - those activities are top on our list these days!

A Day in Boulder

The first stop on our Boulder tour....Long's Iris Gardens!  I took the residents on a trip here last May and have been anxious to bring the kids up ever since.  As expected, the kids loved petting the goats and watching the llama spit!  Those crazy goats put on quite a show, jumping up on picnic tables and turned over window wells, they can make fun out of the simplest of things!

Then we hit the Pearl Street Mall to run in the fountains.

And partake in some Art Festival fun, the kids got to make and color fans in the kids tent.
It was a hot day, so Lillian tested out her fan on the spot!
They enjoyed playing in and around some very cool metal yard statues or should I say, very expensive yard statues!  About $25K for this one!
And we watched some aerial dancers.  Lillian kept asking if she could try next.  Those aerial dancers made it look too easy!

Fun in the Neighborhood

Exploring the "alligator" playground for the first time, Jak and Mike returned to this playground 3 times this week!

Taking a pit stop at the pool.
Sleeping hard after long summer days.

THE Kids on the Block!
 Biking to the playground.

And feeding the ducks with Daddy.
Great summer memories so far!

The Zoo With Some Cuties

We didn't see very many animals during this trip to the zoo.  But that doesn't mean it wasn't educational!

The kids had a blast racing boats in the water, sitting in waterfalls, playing musical instruments, touching seashells and just exploring the day away!

I think Jak's expression says it all!
