RACE For Education

Lillian got to participate in her first RACE for education at St. Anne's today.  Collectively they raised 80K for the school.  The students chose to use their money to improve the public restrooms in the school.  Daddy dropped Lillian off today and was encouraging her to run 4 laps.  When I came to pick her up, she couldn't wait to tell me she ran 12!  Grammy was there to enjoy the Rocket Spirit and cheer on Lillian, Everett and Holden.  The festivities began with a whole school pep rally.  The kids, teachers and families were all so enthusiastic.  Lillian's 8th grade buddies were very affectionate and encouraging to her - which she loved!  They had a DJ pumping loud, energetic music for the kids to run too, and they had pizza, drinks, ice cream and a bake sale for the kids as a reward.

She wore herself out!

Holden Shines on Stage

What a thrill it is to watch their big cousin, Holden perform!  The 4th Grade class production this year was Peter Pan, a kid favorite.  Lillian hung on every word and Joseph bounced from lap to lap as we watched "Wendy" in action.  Holden really lights up when she's acting, it's so fun to see.

Lillian's Girl Scout Troop (and every other troop in the Denver Metro Area) was invited to the Botanic Gardens for a craft and learn day.

Happy Boy

Dropping Joseph off in the morning is such a pleasure these days.  He looks forward to being with his buddies, Trey and Marcus so much that his goodbyes are short and sweet.  He runs (or crawls like a puppy) into the school, hangs his backpack on the hook, runs to the fish tank to kiss me good bye, begs me to take a picture and runs back to be with his friends.  We do this everyday. I seriously have a dozen or so of this same picture!  I smile and want to kiss the screen on my phone every time I see one though!

Joseph is so proud that he has filled his gumball machine with stickers for good behavior.  He gets to choose a prize from the treasure box for every 10 stickers he receives.  And now that its full....he gets to go out to lunch with Miss Sam to McDonald's!
Snuggles like this one are the best part of Daddy's long days.  Mike has been working 12 hour days since last August.  Hopefully this is a temporary work scenario. He's exhausted at the end of the day, but we do get to enjoy our weekends together!

Easter Brunch at the Lerch's

Eating a few healthy bites between the Easter Candy craziness.

Easter Morning

This Easter Maniac woke up early, raring to go!  His poor sister had to hit the ground running with sleep still in her eyes.

Grammy and Opa were at church too, but they left too quick and missed the impromptu photo shoot.

Mia's 6th Birthday Party

Mia and Lillian were separated this year, Mia went to Lukas Elementary for Kindergarten and Lillian was at St. Anne's, of course.  Mia made sure to introduce Lillian to all of her new friends and Lillian acted like she knew all of these sweet little girls. You would never know that Lillian didn't go to Lukas Elementary with them!
