Lillian's Gymnastics Meet & Community Garden Day

Lillian and Emmie enjoyed showing off their Level 2 Gymnastics skills at this mornings Meet.

We drove straight from Apex to the Pond Community Garden plot to help plant a hundred donated plants in our new "Children's Garden" area.  The kids were very helpful and we were all rewarded with a picnic lunch afterwards.

Joseph rediscovered his baby book that Aunt Candy made for him and got a huge kick out of reading how much his family loves him.

Fun Girls Night Out

Katie took us all downtown to the Upstairs Circus to craft and create and of course catch up on all our latest gossip.  I had a great time and came home with a great new bracelet!

Miscellaneous Fall Activities

Joseph's class took their first "field trip" to the library today.  They loved learning how to cross the street in Old Town, hearing the librarian read to them and choosing a book to check out and bring back to class.  This is them eagerly doing a picture walk through their story when we returned.
Lillian is loving her Reconciliation classes with her friends.  The St. Anne's students have a distinct advantage over the other kids in the class.  They know all of the answers and are NOT afraid to raise their hand.  They practically fight over the opportunity to answer questions!
Joseph and Lillian were invited to Marcus' 7th birthday party at Kids Space.  Joseph had a blast, Lillian could barely tolerate all those wild, little boys!

We're bummed Lillian's intro to Volleyball has ended.  She learned so much and finished the 6 week course, aggressively diving for the ball.  Can't wait to see how she develops over the next few years!

Gorgeous Fall Weekend

Feeling inspired by the beautiful fall colors, we had quite the collection of awesome family photos this weekend!  It's so nice to enjoy the mountains with very few other campers.  The kids loved using their new bow and arrow and Daddy loved giving them pointers.

A Brief Visit with Margee

I love it that Margee's husband is from Colorado and she squeezes in a quick visit with us when they come back!  It was so great to get the cousins together and see Margee and her beautiful girls!

Hello Nashville!

Amanda - Moo turned 21 this summer and her one request??? A girls trip to Nashville with all of her Aunts.  We ate, danced, hiked and shopped our way around that town.  And made some pretty terrific memories.  The whole town smells like barbeque and everyone boasts that they have the best.  We followed all sorts of recommendations from friends of Candy & Amanda's - trying different places for breakfast, dinner and of course live music and drinks.  We had a blast!
While I was gone, Mike took the kids to the Harvest Festival where they represented St. Anne's in the parade through Old Town Arvada handing out candy.  I was so happy to get off the plane on Sunday, I'm not cut out for leaving my family!  Everyone got a good ol' Nashville souvenir; Mike and I got T-shirts and the kids got a fun toy bow & arrow.  But guess what?  The Nashville airport wouldn't let me take the bow & arrow as carry on because they considered it a weapon!  I had to go back to ticketing and check it - that poor bow & arrow came out looking like it had been through a war.  But the kids LOVED it so I guess it was worth all my trouble.

Goodbye Cuties

My heart hurt dropping these cutie off this morning.  I fly out to Nashville for a girls weekend with the Kerschen girls later this afternoon.  These snapshots are my last moments before they rushed off with their classes.  So naturally, I dropped in to visit them one last time during their lunch break!
