Howling

Our neighborhood (along with virtually every neighborhood in the Denver Metro area) has been participating in what they call "Howling".  Every night at 8 pm we open our front door and howl for frontline and healthcare workers.  We whoop it up, howl and clap - Norm plays his trumpet - and the kids say goodnight to their friends - all from our front porch.  We typically put the kids in their PJ's (they are motivated to change and brush so they don't miss out on the fun!) and incorporate this fun new tradition into our nightly bedtime routine.  It feels good to honor our doctors, nurses, first responders etc. and it feels good to give the kids something positive during a pandemic that seems to be limiting their childhood freedoms.  I submitted this cute picture of the kids howling to FOX news and it aired on tonight's 9 PM broadcast.  Needless to say, I received several texts from people after recognizing the kids!
