Jackson Lake State Park

Our first trip to Jackson Lake was a success!  We had heard that Jackson Lake was a great boating lake because it is in the Eastern Plains making the water and air warmer (as opposed to our normal mountain lake excursions....brrrrr).  And because Jackson Lake is so closed to Denver, Mike was able to camp with us and commute back to work on Thursday and Friday, leaving the camper for us.  We were able to take Emma with us (her mom is back at work getting ready for the school year).  Grammy, Opa, Uncle Severin, Aunt Colleen and Carolyn even joined us for one night!

Emma's paddle board was a hit - the kids spent most of their time floating on and jumping off the "Big Banana" - guess we're going to have to get one!
Severin took a few drone pics of our camper - before he got reprimanded by the State Park patrol....apparently Drones aren't allowed in State Parks.

Joseph saw a group of 20 somethings volleying a ball back with each other.  He just inserted himself in their game - and they totally welcomed him!  I love his willingness to play with anyone available - of course these kids were thrilled to have a little boy "fetch" the ball every time it went askew!
