1st Ski Lessons

Mike and I have given the kids a good solid introduction to skiing, now it's time for a little expert intervention.  Loveland has a program called the 3 Class Pass, if the kids complete 3 full day lessons in one season, they get a Season Pass to use for the remainder of the ski season.  Today was Day 1!  I was impressed, they took Lillian on the small chairlift in Loveland Valley right away, and then took her on the shuttle over to the big mountain.  I couldn't see her for most of the day, and had no idea if she was having fun or cursing me for getting her into this sport! Jak on the other hand, struggled with the big magic carpet area and was demoted down to the smaller magic carpet area.  All he needed was a run or two on the small hill to re-adjust to skiing - then he would have embraced the bigger hill like a champ.  But unfortunately, they didn't bring him back up to the big hill today.  He had a blast none the less and when we were reunited with Lillian - I was relieved to see her beaming from ear to ear.  She really enjoyed her first lesson too.  Phew...Mike and I are so excited to see them get closer to being independent skiers!
