We laid low and stayed local this fourth. The kids are already keeping our social schedule packed with parties and events, so when we have nothing on the invite list...we kick back and enjoy our neighborhood, family & friends. We started the day just like last fourth of July, swimming in the pool and enjoying the BBQ and festivities in the Pond.
Dad "helped" Lillian work on her new potholder loom Grandma and Grandpa Cooper gave her when we were in Michigan.
And the loom came with us on our picnic at Standley Lake that night.
We met the Colorado Hanous at the splash park after dinner to watch fireworks and enjoy the playground. Thank goodness the company we were with and the park was fun, because the rain started coming down just as the fireworks began. The kids were so proud that they took late naps and could stay up late for the 4th this year, then they got rained out. Oh well, as they say, there's always next year!
