After School Play Dates

 I love it when they willingly do their homework together!  Joseph and AJ had a great time together, as did Emma & Lillian - in separate areas of the house of course!

Sometimes, You Just Have to Play Hookie...

 It suddenly occurred to me that our Groupon train tickets for the Georgetown Loop were about to expire and the fall colors are at their peak right now!  So we played a little hookie from school;  I picked the kids up an hour early, met Grammy & Opa and headed up to Georgetown to catch their last ride of the day.  

70th Birthday Bash

 I can't believe we are celebrating my parents 70th Birthdays this fall!  Time really does fly by.  For two people who are still relatively new to Colorado, Grammy & Opa sure have a lot of really terrific friends (and terrific family of course!).  

Soccer Fan

 Lillian supported two of her besties in one day today (she even sported her "Always be a Bestie" T-Shirt!).  Brenna and Mia play soccer for the same organization, Lillian was able to watch Brenna's game, then hop over a couple of fields and watch Mia play.  Joseph tagged along too of course, he loves a good soccer match!

Unbelievably Gorgeous Fall Weekend!

What luck!  This couple pulled up & unloaded their horses right next to our campsite.  Immediately, they spotted Lillian as a horse lover and offered her and Joseph a ride.  What happy kids we have!

 Daddy took us scouting with him for his evening hunt on Saturday - he bugled for elk and we heard a cow answer him!  The kids took the scouting super seriously, and hiked so quietly - even though Lillian "danced" as she hiked - she kept the noise to an absolute minimum!
