In honor of National Pray the Rosary Day, St. Anne's held an all school rosary. It was the first time I've ever been a part of such a large praying circle. The rosary took about 40 minutes to complete and the kids all behaved so well. Of course when school let out, they had to let loose a little bit and toss some leaves around!

Grammy & Alan Come to Visit!
Grammy & Alan took the train to come see us! It was a slow but relaxing way to travel. They had to cut their visit short because the weather just wouldn't cooperate. They came to sunny Colorado to escape the cold, dreary fall in Michigan. However, it happens to be 80 degrees and sunny in Michigan this week and it's freezing here! They were able to change their train tickets and leave 2 days early to escape the 8 inches of snow we're expecting on Sunday. Bill and Vicky were able to come join us for dinner one night - and this is the only picture I have of our visit - darn it!

Arvada History Tour
The 2nd Grade teachers put together the best iPad presentation on the history of Arvada - so we took a walking field trip! The kids have been studying Arvada in their Social Studies class. They loved walking through Old Town and comparing what buildings used to look like 100-ish years ago vs. today. I have to admit - I learned quite a bit! The most enjoyable part for the kids - ending the tour with Ice Cream at Scrumptious!

Girl Scout Outing
Lillian took a trip to the Celestial Seasonings Factory in Boulder with her Girl Scout troop today. Joseph and the neighbors had a seriously good time playing with scrap wood "building" things. Mike and I got a few chores done around the house and just enjoyed life...
