 First meet!  Only a mile this time, they work up to 2 miles in the coming weeks.  The rain put a damper on the spectating, but the runners appreciated it!

Ringing the Bell

 He did it!  At least we thought so for a couple of minutes.  Unfortunately, in order to complete Hang Tough and collect the wristband, you need to do the course without using your feet.  He was super proud of himself and I have no doubt an official completion is in his future!

Hangin' Tough

 Oh boy....Joseph has been taking classes at Warrior Challenge Arena for just a few months now, but he is wristband obsessed!  He completed 3 obstacles in his first class and came home with 3 wristbands, completely addicted and chomping at the bit for more.  This obstacle, aptly named Hang Tough, is quite difficult.  It is a long course, starting with a cargo net climb, several hanging PVC pipes and rings, etc.  But the absolute killer is the straight PVC pipe you have to climb at the end to ring the bell.  He's gunning for it!

Michael Franti

 This weekend Casey and I introduced the kids to our favorite artist to see live....Michael Franti.  Unfortunately, he wasn't the headliner and only performed a few songs.  But they got the idea!

Kidz Bop!

It was the kids first Red Rocks concert!  And in true Red Rocks Fashion it was hotter than hot!  We almost melted but still had a great time.  Halfway to Morrison, Joseph discovered he forgot his shoes (how he hasn't learned this lesson by now - I do not know).  We made a quick stop at Target, got him a nice pair of flip flops and we were back on track!  Casey and I feel like we definitely earned the titles of cool moms / cool aunts today.  We tailgated, we played games in the parking lot, we danced, we hiked the endless staircases to get to our seats and so much more!  

Fairwell to the Pools....

 We said "until next year" to our pool with a family dinner and to the Jacksons Pool with a swim playdate this weekend.
