Skate City with the Sousa's

I'm so happy - I'm working Tuesdays this summer and our neighbor Rachel is watching the kids.  Most of the time they'll play in the neighborhood and with Rachel's younger sisters.  But today Alex drove all 6 kids to Skate City to skate and enjoy an ICEE.  She texted me these pictures while I was at work.

And tonight we enjoyed dinner on the back patio with some quality time with Daddy...cause we leave tomorrow for Maryland!

 Maddie's 6th Birthday and a chance to hang with some school friends at the APEX...good thing the Trujillo's planned an indoor party...this summer sure is slow to warm up!

Water World

What a Christmas gift from Grandpa Kerschen!  We are going to really enjoy our Water World Passes this summer - Day 1 was a huge success!

 

Getting in the Summer Mode...

It was hard being away for the start of summer.  Grammy & Opa got to play with the kids for their first week off and I was jealous!  We played with Joseph's new FRANCE soccer ball, visited the park, biked and swam at the pool and went bowling.  Lillian hated bowling, until she got her first strike - her expression below says it all!!!

Father's Day

We put Daddy to work this Father's Day! He didn't mind since he missed the kids so much the last 10 days!  He fried up some crepe's on the griddle, melted Nutella and berries inside to give them a little taste of Par-ee.  They loved it of course! Then we piled in the van and headed to White Ranch Open Space for a family hike.  Lots of good catching up, and quality out door time together with plenty of relaxing, just what we all needed!

Meanwhile back in the States....

Opa taught Lillian some essential skills while we were away such as serving him a nice cold beer!  They spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying the firepit, camping, mining for Gold.  Unfortunately, it was too cold to swim and it rained a lot, but I'm sure we'll have plenty of pool time the rest of this summer!
