The Jacksons invited us to share their VRBO in Silverthorne again this weekend. This time Lillian and Mia got a chance to ski a couple runs together. We skied Copper in the morning, while the Jacksons skied at the Frisco Adventure Park again. Megy texted that Zoey and Ella were done skiing for the day and Mia wanted to take a run with Lillian. We were able to transfer the girls ski passes on to Joseph and Lillian and they got a chance to try the beginner ski hill. It had one magic carpet up the hill and one run down the hill but they loved taking "turns" together!

Robotics and Playing in the Snow
Our local libraries host a Robotics workshop where the kids can experiment with cubes and create different results depending on how they stack the cubes. Certain sequences created flashlights, others signaled the machines wheels to move or spin. The kids seemed to understand how to code these little cubes instantly, I on the other hand, felt like I was learning Greek!
After the library, we spent a little time outdoors building a mini snowman with the Taylors. Alicia gave the kids an invisible pen to play with. Lillian wrote a message on her brother's back and asked me to take a picture of it while she shined the Black light on it....he was thrilled when he saw what the secret message revealed....

Ariel's Birthday Party
Joseph's buddy Ariel turned 6 and invited to whole class to Bowlero to celebrate. It was their first social event together as a class and they were so cute! They weren't however, very interested in bowling!

Copper Mountain & Cabin Getaway with the Jackson's
Skiing Copper wore these kids out...but they needed a little nap after skiing to prepare for a night of game playing and partying with the Jacksons.

Miscellaneous Winter Days
Lillian had Little Flowers after school and the weather was decent, so Joseph and I explored a new playground I discovered on my Thursday morning walk with Emily. He's a big fan....we'll have to come back when he has other kids to play with...it was a 'bit lonely at the top".
Snapped this picture of Lillian and her friends Jojo, Stori and Juliet before school...just a typical winter morning drop off in the gym. They're always happy to see each other.
The kids dared daddy to put on this wig - they found themselves pretty funny dressing daddy up. He was a good sport, but I'm not sure how he's going to feel when this picture resurfaces at a work event on a slide show some day. He's all decked out in CFC gear with a Wayne's World style hair do. His office administrator was dying of laughter when I sent this pic along to her....

Cousin Sleepover
The kids had a fantastic time in Steamboat and got along really well (as usual!), but there's no denying they missed being with other kids. When Ian and Kim offered to have them over, Lillian and Joseph were jumping with joy. Joseph has a new game obsession, FARKLE. Holden shared her obsession - making slime - and everyone dug it. Kim and Ian kicked back and allowed the mess to be made in their kitchen and had a good time too. And the kids even slept......a little. Good end to an awesome Winter Break!

Steamboat Continued!
It's hard to say who enjoyed our week in Steamboat the most, but I'm guessing it was this guy.....
Mike has always loved Steamboat and getting to enjoy it with his family is the icing on the cake! He deserves a week off to relax and there is no better way to do that than in this awesome town, with a boatload of snow and two kids who are really becoming excellent skiers! We played countless board games, had a New Year's Eve dance party, swam in the Hot Springs (a few times!), skied Black Diamond Runs, got a free ski lesson from Billy Kidd, went ice skating and rode in bumper ice boats, invited Grammy & Opa to stay with us a few days and ended the busy week by sledding on Rabbit Ears pass. We still have 2 skiing days available on our annual IKON pass, Steamboat....we'll be back!
